Research

My research interests span 3 general areas:

  1. software testing, particularly applied to various kinds of artificial intelligence and language processing systems,

  2. computer science education, particularly new curricula that will engage an increasingly diverse group of students in CS (see Grants page for more information)

  3. working collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines to apply computing to problems in their fields

  4. diversity in STEM, including reanalyzing degree attainment data to better identify and understand longstanding trends in the areas of gender & race and ethnicity
